Sify Infinit Spaces Launches AI Data Centre in Lucknow
Sify Infinit Spaces has announced the launch of its first AI-Hub Data Centre in Lucknow, marking a significant step in enhancing data infrastructure in northern India. The facility, located within the HCL IT City campus on Sultanpur Road, will be developed in four phases, with the first phase set to become operational by June 2025.
The data centre is strategically positioned near multinational corporations operating in the NCR and Lucknow region and is designed to cater to enterprise data processing needs. It incorporates edge caching technology, which utilises hardware and software components to optimise computing response times.
The ground-breaking ceremony was attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and Sify Technologies Chairman Raju Vegesna. Singh highlighted the role of the facility in the state's broader technological growth plans, aligning with the vision of making Uttar Pradesh a key player in the AI and data centre industry.
Raju Vegesna expressed satisfaction in enabling Lucknow to join the list of AI-ready cities, stating that the facility aligns with Sify's investment goals and reflects the state government's ambition of making Uttar Pradesh the data centre hub of North India.
