Universal Music Group and ElevenLabs Plan Licensed AI Music Platform

Universal Music Group and ElevenLabs signed a multiyear licensing agreement to create an AI music platform using licensed music and content from participating artists and songwriters.

Universal Music Group and ElevenLabs announced in a press release a multiyear licensing agreement covering a new AI music platform for fans. ElevenLabs will launch the platform, which remains in development.

The service will use licensed music and content from participating artists and songwriters. Fans will be able to create remixes, mashups, new versions of tracks, and personalized vocal experiences involving participating musicians.

The companies also plan to develop other AI audio products for artists and songwriters. The platform will operate separately from ElevenLabs' existing Music API and ElevenMusic products.
