Ultima Genomics Platform Selected for Precure's One Million Sample Dataset
Ultima Genomics said in a press release that its UG200 Ultra Sequencing Platform was selected for Precure, an initiative led by Mayo Clinic with Thermo Fisher Scientific. The project will generate data from one million biospecimens, combining whole genome sequencing and proteomic information with clinical data collected over several years.
Helix will serve as the multiomics laboratory and AI tools provider. It will operate a fleet of UG200 platforms to produce sequencing data, while Precure will use AI and large scale data analysis to identify patterns associated with disease.
Ultima says each UG200 Ultra platform can produce up to 60,000 whole genomes annually. The system includes Solaris 2.0 Chemistry, paired end sequencing, and a pangenome aligner under development with NVIDIA and Google DeepVariant.
