Theker Secures $21 Million to Expand AI Robotics

Barcelona-based startup Theker has raised $21 million in seed funding to scale its adaptive AI-driven robotics technology, marking the largest seed round in Spain's history.

Theker, a Barcelona-based startup specializing in adaptive AI-driven robotics, has raised $21 million in seed funding. This funding round, led by Kibo Ventures, includes participation from Inditex and Kfund's Leadwind fund, marking the largest seed round in Spain's history.

Theker's technology enables robots to operate in complex industrial environments without reprogramming, using a deep learning-based vision and control platform for real-time adaptation. This flexibility allows deployment across various sectors, including logistics, retail, and waste management, where traditional robotics have struggled.

The company's Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) model offers businesses intelligent automation without high upfront costs, lowering the entry barrier for digitizing operations. The newly acquired funds will be used to scale production, expand the team, and enhance Theker's international presence, with a long-term goal of establishing Barcelona as a global hub for advanced robotics.
