SquareMind Raises $18 Million for AI and Robotics Skin Exam Platform
SquareMind has raised $18 million in funding to expand its AI and robotics platform for dermatology, announced in a press release. The round was led by Sonder Capital, with participation from the Deeptech 2030 Fund, Adamed Technology, Calm/Storm Ventures, Teampact Ventures, and several entrepreneurs.
The funds will support the growth of SquareMind’s commercial, engineering, and customer support teams as it prepares to launch its Swan robotic skin imaging platform in the United States and Europe. Swan is described as the first robot to capture standardized full body dermoscopic images, automating the process of skin documentation for dermatologists.
Developed with input from dermatology specialists, the Swan system captures images in minutes and integrates with clinical workflows. Its AI-based software helps track new or changing moles over time while maintaining physician oversight.
SquareMind, based in Paris, holds both FDA listing and CE marking for the Swan platform, enabling its commercial use in both markets.
