Spendsafe Partners with UCL EdTech Labs to Integrate AI into Financial Literacy Education
Spendsafe has partnered with University College London's EdTech Labs to combine artificial intelligence with a financial literacy curriculum, announced in a press release. The collaboration aims to measure learning outcomes and align AI-driven education with ethical and evidence-based standards.
Spendsafe offers a Mastercard-backed prepaid card and connected apps for parents and children, turning daily spending and chores into financial learning experiences. The platform uses an in-app AI coach to link transactions with lessons on topics such as savings and compound interest, while maintaining parental oversight of spending activity.
UCL EdTech Labs will provide evaluation, ethics oversight, and learning governance for the initiative. This partnership is designed to ensure that Spendsafe’s educational tools are both transparent and effective, giving families and schools confidence in the results produced by the platform.
