CHAI Reports $68 Million ARR and Expands AI Safety Measures

CHAI has reached $68 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and a $1.4 billion valuation, announced in a press release. The company said its revenue has tripled annually over the past three years.

CHAI detailed new safety initiatives designed to ensure user well-being on its AI platform. The company’s updated framework aligns with the EU AI Act and the National Institute of Standards and Technology AI Risk Management Framework. It also follows guidelines from the International Association for Suicide Prevention.

The platform now includes real-time classifiers to detect suicidal ideation or self-harm discussions during user interactions. These systems enable early intervention and direct users to human support resources such as helplines or mental health professionals.

CHAI stated that all user conversations are stored on secure, anonymized servers that meet privacy standards comparable to HIPAA. The company said these measures are part of its ongoing effort to scale safely as its user base continues to expand.
