Robots & Pencils Publishes Higher Education AI Governance Series

Robots & Pencils published a three part series titled Classroom AI Governance, the company said in a press release. The series examines differences between campus AI policies and how faculty and administrators use AI in classrooms.

The company says faculty are moving away from campus AI bans that do not fit their disciplines. It also says students may receive grades, advising prompts, and alerts influenced by AI without being told about its use.

The first part examines bans and AI detection tools. The second covers undisclosed AI use in grading, advising, and alert systems. The third proposes disclosure standards and a process through which students can request human assistance.
