Packback launches AI assignments that show student reasoning

Oct 22, 2026
Packback has introduced four assignment types that record how students evaluate, challenge and revise AI output. Instructors can review draft history, prompts, transcripts and reflections.

Packback announced in a press release the launch of AI Integrated Assignments for colleges and universities. The suite makes students' interactions with AI visible to instructors, including how they plan, evaluate and revise their work.

The suite includes four assignment types. Teach the AI asks students to explain concepts and correct errors. Argument Lab presents counterarguments to a student's chosen position. Claim Source Verification requires students to assess AI claims against an instructor selected source. Co-Authored Essay records whether students accept, rewrite or reject each AI suggestion.

Instructors can review draft history, transcripts, prompt logs and student reflections through a dashboard. The assignments work with Canvas, Blackboard and D2L Brightspace, and Packback says they comply with federal student privacy regulations.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
