Riyadh Air Partners with IBM to Build AI-Driven Airline

Riyadh Air has announced a collaboration with IBM to integrate AI solutions, aiming to enhance guest and employee experiences as the airline prepares for its inaugural flights in 2025.

Riyadh Air has announced a new agreement with IBM to integrate AI solutions across its operations, announced in a press release. This collaboration will see the Saudi Arabian airline leverage IBM's watsonx AI products and IBM Consulting solutions to enhance both guest and employee experiences.

The partnership aims to establish Riyadh Air as the world's first digital-native airline, with AI playing a central role in its operations. As the airline prepares for its inaugural flights in late 2025, the integration of AI is expected to optimize customer interactions and flight operations, setting a new benchmark in the aviation industry.

IBM will oversee the deployment of watsonx and develop AI use cases using its IBM Garage methodology. This will include AI-powered virtual assistants for customer and employee self-service, enhancing efficiency and service delivery. The collaboration aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which aims to position the Kingdom as a global aviation hub by serving 330 million passengers annually by 2030.
