Q.ANT Names Joerg Behrend Vice President of Hardware
Q.ANT appointed Joerg Behrend as vice president of hardware, the company said in a press release. He will oversee future generations of its photonic processors, including chip technology, processor architecture and preparation of Native Processing Units for volume production.
Behrend reports to Chief Technology Officer Bruno Spruth and will work across Q.ANT's sites in Stuttgart and Austin. He brings more than 20 years of experience in processor and system technologies.
Behrend spent 15 years at IBM. Most recently, he managed IBM Quantum teams in Böblingen that worked on cloud backend systems, compilers, tools and runtime engineering.
