NVIDIA Adds Confidential Bare Metal for Sensitive AI Workloads
NVIDIA has introduced Confidential Bare Metal, detailed in a company blog post, a deployment option for running sensitive AI workloads on dedicated third party infrastructure. It lets model builders control their models, data and software stack while using NVIDIA accelerated computing from cloud, AI cloud and enterprise providers.
The system adds controls that protect data in transit, measure platform integrity and enforce hardware level access restrictions. NVIDIA Confidential Computing now supports three deployment models: Confidential Bare Metal, Confidential Containers for Kubernetes and Confidential Virtual Machines.
Cohere plans to integrate Confidential Bare Metal into Cohere Model Vault. Google Cloud will support it on A4X Max instances powered by NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems.
NVIDIA is also extending Confidential Computing to Grace Blackwell NVL72, HGX Rubin NVL8 and DGX Rubin NVL8 systems. NVIDIA Confidential Computing will also integrate with NVIDIA DSX OS as a reference architecture for cloud providers building AI factories.
