Netflix is rolling out an AI Discover tab for mood based viewing recommendations, according to TechCrunch. The experiment is initially reaching English language users on supported TVs in the US, with access expanding in the coming weeks.

Users can choose themes based on their mood, viewing preferences, available time, or current trends. Initial options include “something light,” “scare me,” “family movie night,” and “quick watches.” Users can refine a theme, request something different, or save and exclude titles through a Tune Your Recommendations button.

Netflix says the tab uses an intelligence layer that responds to user input in real time and continues learning. Feedback from the experiment will help determine which discovery features are retained, improved, or added to the main Netflix interface.

The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
