Google has expanded its Dreambeans AI storytelling app to India, its first market outside the United States. The app supports 13 local languages and creates illustrated stories using data from connected Google services.

Google has launched its Dreambeans AI app in India, its first market outside the United States, according to TechCrunch. The Android and iOS app supports English and 13 local languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Bengali.

Dreambeans creates personalized illustrated stories without requiring a prompt. It uses information from connected services such as Calendar, Gemini, Gmail, Photos, Search and YouTube. Select stories can include animated images created with Google's Veo video model.

Users can choose which services to connect, disconnect them at any time and delete their Dreambeans data. The app supports only one output language at a time and is limited to personal Gmail accounts. Generated stories are visible only to the account holder. In its first 30 days of US availability, Dreambeans had an estimated 29,000 downloads, compared with 7.4 million for Meta's Muse in the same period after launch, according to Sensor Tower estimates cited by TechCrunch.
