Google Play Adds Private Android Apps Built With AI
Google Play now lets users install private Android apps created with Google AI Studio, TechCrunch reports. The apps can run on the creator's device without appearing in Play Store search results or public listings.
The feature uses a standard Google account and is initially available in the United States to people aged 18 and older. Personal apps must still comply with existing Google Play policies.
Google plans to let creators share these apps with trusted friends in the coming months. Creators will also be able to publish a personal app on the Play Store after completing its trust and safety reviews.
