Neteera's Monitoring System Shows 77% Sensitivity in Hospitalization Alerts
Neteera Technologies Ltd. has announced results from a clinical study demonstrating that its contactless monitoring system achieved 77% sensitivity in detecting impending hospitalizations among nursing facility residents. The study, conducted in partnership with TapestryHealth, monitored 612 residents across five facilities over four months, analyzing 96 hospitalization events. The system provided an average warning of 4.99 days for clinical intervention, announced in a press release.
The Neteera System uses ambient sensor technology to detect micro-movements from cardiac and respiratory activity through clothing and bedding, eliminating the need for wearable devices or direct patient contact. It continuously tracks vital signs and uses AI-powered algorithms to alert care teams when deviations from a patient's baseline exceed a threshold. The study reported 89% sensitivity for respiratory and cardiac deteriorations with a 5.65-day lead time.
This technology aims to transform emergency responses into treat-in-place care, allowing clinical teams to intervene proactively and potentially reduce avoidable hospitalizations. The study's findings provide healthcare facilities with clinical evidence supporting the use of Neteera's FDA-cleared sensor technology for early warnings and improved patient care.
