July 07, 2026
Surgical Safety Technologies has rebranded as Aimbient, expanding its AI platform beyond the operating room to enhance efficiency and safety across all hospital procedural environments. The platform, trained on over 15 million hours of procedural data, combines predictive, real-time, and retrospective intelligence to support clinical and operational improvements.

Surgical Safety Technologies has rebranded as Aimbient, expanding its focus from operating room safety to broader procedural intelligence across hospitals, announced in a press release.

Aimbient integrates predictive, real time, and retrospective intelligence on one platform to enhance performance, safety, and education across multiple procedural areas. The system captures video, audio, and device telemetry, then applies AI models to deliver insights before, during, and after procedures.

The platform draws on more than 15 million hours of procedural data collected over ten years in leading hospitals. Research using the system has been published in over 100 peer reviewed studies, which have reported reductions in room idle time, staff overtime, and improved prediction of procedure durations.

Aimbient is currently in use across 450 procedural rooms in North America and Europe, with new capabilities and research expected to follow in the coming months.
