Microsoft has unveiled new AI agents for its Security Copilot, enhancing capabilities in phishing, data security, and identity management, according to a company announcement.

Microsoft Corporation has announced the expansion of its Security Copilot with new AI agents designed to enhance cybersecurity measures. In a company announcement, Microsoft introduced AI agents that autonomously assist in areas such as phishing, data security, and identity management. These agents are part of Microsoft's effort to address the increasing complexity and volume of cyberattacks.

The new agents include a Phishing Triage Agent in Microsoft Defender, which efficiently handles phishing alerts, and a Conditional Access Optimization Agent in Microsoft Entra, which monitors and updates security policies. Additionally, Microsoft has introduced a Vulnerability Remediation Agent in Microsoft Intune to prioritize and address vulnerabilities.

Microsoft is also collaborating with partners to introduce five additional AI agents, including a Privacy Breach Response Agent by OneTrust and a Network Supervisor Agent by Aviatrix. These agents aim to provide comprehensive security solutions by leveraging Microsoft's Security Copilot platform.

The new AI agents will be available for preview in April 2025, offering organizations enhanced tools to manage and mitigate cybersecurity threats effectively.
