Mercyhealth has partnered with Vitea to deploy AI governance across hospitals and care sites, with controls for visibility, policy enforcement, and monitoring.

Mercyhealth has partnered with Vitea to deploy an AI governance platform across its hospitals and care sites, the companies announced in a press release.

The platform is designed to give Mercyhealth visibility into AI applications in use across its system. It also provides policy enforcement and accountability tools for AI used in clinical workflows, patient outcomes, and operations.

Vitea said its platform includes more than 100 healthcare specific policies that can be enforced across prompts and responses. The system also includes centralized policy management, drift monitoring, and performance monitoring.

Mercyhealth is a nonprofit integrated health system based in Rockford, Illinois, and Janesville, Wisconsin. It serves more than 55 communities through seven hospitals, more than 85 primary and specialty care locations, home health and hospice services, and an insurance company.
