Menlo Digital Breaks Ground on 48MW Data Center in Herndon, Virginia
Menlo Digital, the data center platform of Menlo Equities, has begun construction on its MD-DC1 facility in Herndon, Virginia, announced in a press release. The two-story building will provide 48 megawatts (MW) of critical IT capacity across 307,000 square feet.
The site spans nine acres and will include four data halls of 12MW each, supported by 67MW of utility power from Dominion Energy Virginia’s Lincoln Park Substation. Clune Construction is serving as the general contractor. Delivery of the powered shell is scheduled for summer 2026.
The Herndon project forms part of Menlo Digital’s national pipeline exceeding 1.8 gigawatts, which includes developments in Northern Virginia, Phoenix, Silicon Valley, Dallas, and Chicago.
