Ramp Launches Router.com for AI Model Routing

August 20, 2026
Ramp has launched Router.com, an API that routes AI requests to lower cost models that meet a developer set performance level. The service is live now and free through 2026.

Ramp announced in a press release Router.com, a single API endpoint for routing requests across major AI models. The service sends each request to the lowest cost model that meets the required performance level.

Router.com connects model routing with Ramp's AI spend visibility and controls. Ramp said customers already using Router have reduced inference costs by 40 percent on average.

Developers can use Router to reach models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and SpaceXAI, with Gemini planned soon. The service also supports open models including Nvidia, Kimi, DeepSeek, GLM, and Qwen through providers such as Fireworks AI.

Router includes automatic fallback when a provider fails, along with optimizations across model selection, caching, compression, timing, and request handling. It is live at router.com, free through 2026, and includes $26 in credits for new users.
