MedHub-AI and Terumo Partner to Introduce AI-Based FFR in Japan
MedHub-AI has announced a distribution agreement with Terumo Corporation to bring its AI-powered AutocathFFR software to the Japanese market, announced in a press release. This collaboration aims to revolutionize coronary physiology assessment by offering a non-invasive, AI-driven alternative to traditional Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) techniques.
AutocathFFR utilizes advanced AI algorithms to calculate precise FFR values directly from routine X-ray coronary angiograms, eliminating the need for invasive guidewires or drug-induced vessel dilation. This innovation provides fast, consistent results in just 37 seconds, enhancing workflow reliability and minimizing operator variability.
The partnership with Terumo will expand the product lineup in the cardiovascular field, offering healthcare professionals a wider range of options and contributing to improved patient outcomes. MedHub-AI is also progressing through the final stages of its regulatory pathway and anticipates receiving FDA approval soon, paving the way for broader clinical adoption and global market expansion.
