Leidos Acquires Kudu Dynamics to Boost AI Cyber Capabilities

Leidos has acquired Kudu Dynamics, a move aimed at enhancing its AI-enabled cyber capabilities for defense, intelligence, and homeland security sectors. The acquisition, valued at approximately $300 million, was announced in a press release and marks Leidos' first acquisition in over two years.

Leidos' current AI-enabled cyber offerings provide users with the ability to automate vulnerability detection and enhance defenses. The acquisition of Kudu Dynamics is expected to accelerate Leidos' strategy in AI-enabled offensive cyber operations and vulnerability research. Founded in 2013, Kudu Dynamics has been a leader in automated targeting and scalable hardware reverse engineering, primarily serving the Department of Defense.

Leidos CEO Tom Bell highlighted that Kudu's capabilities align with Leidos' strategy to expand its offensive cyber technology. Kudu Dynamics' CEO Mike Frantzen expressed enthusiasm about combining their innovative technologies with Leidos' resources and experience to deliver advanced capabilities to their customers.
