May 05, 2026
KYC SiteScan has introduced five new AI features to enhance merchant Know Your Customer automation, including tools for adverse media detection, data validation, sentiment analysis, MCC suggestions, and website discovery.

KYC SiteScan announced in a press release the addition of five AI features to its merchant Know Your Customer automation platform. The new tools aim to improve accuracy and transparency in payment industry due diligence by grounding insights in verified data from primary sources.

The new capabilities include Adverse Media Detection, which scans news, regulatory, and legal sources to identify relevant negative information about merchants, and Merchant Data Validation, which cross-references business details with government and public records. Consumer Sentiment Analysis uses data from consumer review platforms to assess merchant reputation, while MCC Suggestions analyzes website content to propose appropriate Merchant Category Codes with confidence scores.

The final feature, Website URL and Social Media Discovery, identifies undisclosed websites and online activity linked to a merchant, helping underwriters verify business legitimacy. All features are integrated into KYC SiteScan's reports and API Risk Data to support compliance and audit requirements.
