Knowledge Grid Launches Cognitive Data Platform for AI in Cybersecurity

Knowledge Grid has launched the KG Cognitive Data Platform, introducing what it calls the Cognitive Data Layer, announced in a press release. The new system is described as an AI native data foundation that converts high velocity cybersecurity telemetry into data usable by AI systems.

The platform is powered by Knowledge Grid's patented Temporal Data Grid, which is based on over 15 years of research. It addresses issues in the way traditional security systems handle data. Legacy security tools typically organize data for human analysis, but do not transform it into a form that enables accurate AI reasoning.

The company said the platform aims to solve a reliability issue in AI threat detection, where models often appear confident but may be drawing on incomplete or unstructured data. By transforming telemetry data at ingest, the platform is intended to improve the reliability of AI based detection.

Knowledge Grid's technology is already being used through partners, including Dragonfly Cyber. The KG Cognitive Data Platform is available now, and the company said it will present demonstrations at Black Hat USA 2026 in Las Vegas from August 3 to 7.
