Intel Names Alex Katouzian to Lead Client Computing and Physical AI Group
Intel Corporation has announced new leadership appointments aimed at strengthening its client computing and AI initiatives. Alex Katouzian has been named executive vice president and general manager of the newly established Client Computing and Physical AI Group.
The role brings together Intel's client computing operations with emerging physical AI systems, including robotics, autonomous machines, and other AI devices. Katouzian joins Intel from Qualcomm Technologies, where he served as executive vice president and group general manager of mobile, compute, and extended reality.
Intel also confirmed that Pushkar Ranade has been appointed chief technology officer after serving in the position on an interim basis. He will oversee technology strategy and lead projects in quantum computing, neuromorphic computing, photonics, and advanced materials. Ranade will continue as chief of staff to CEO Lip-Bu Tan. Both appointments take effect in May 2026, with Katouzian and Ranade reporting directly to Tan.
