Hyosung Heavy Industries is set to achieve record sales and profits in 2025, driven by significant power equipment contracts in North America and Europe, as announced in a press release.

Hyosung Heavy Industries is on track to achieve record sales and profits in 2025, with projected sales reaching KRW 5 trillion (approximately USD 3.6 billion) and operating profit exceeding KRW 500 billion (approximately USD 360 million). This growth is driven by increasing power demand linked to AI adoption, announced in a press release.

Under the leadership of Chairman Cho Hyun-joon, Hyosung Heavy Industries has secured significant power equipment supply contracts across North America and Europe. The company has become the first Korean manufacturer to enter into a long-term supply agreement for ultra-high-voltage transformers and reactors with leading German transmission system operators. Additionally, Hyosung has secured orders in Scotland and France, and is participating in large-scale projects in the UK and Norway.

Hyosung is also advancing its high-voltage direct current (HVDC) technology, having successfully localized a 200MW-class HVDC system in Korea. The company plans to further develop 2GW-class HVDC systems to strengthen its position in both domestic and international transmission network projects.
