HUMAIN and KORA Systems Show Early Linux AI Operating System

At LEAP 2026, HUMAIN and KORA Systems announced a partnership to build HUMAIN OS, an operating system based on Linux for enterprise AI workloads, in a press release. The companies are showing an early version at the event, and commercial availability is planned for 2027.

HUMAIN OS is being built to take a user objective, assemble authorized context, choose the relevant intelligence, and decide where a workload should run. Workload decisions are planned to consider privacy, model capability, latency, connectivity, cost, and organizational policy.

The joint engineering work covers operating system architecture, Linux, hardware integration, AI runtime, security, device management, user experience, and the application environment. An on device intelligence layer optimized for Qualcomm computing platforms is also under development, with HUMAIN targeting a 26 billion parameter model running locally on the Qualcomm NPU.

Planned features include access to authorized files and enterprise information based on context, semantic information retrieval, agent based computer use, and productivity tools for documents, presentations, and spreadsheets. The LEAP demo is an early stage version, not a commercial product.
