Horizon Robotics Unveils HSD Urban Driving System with Chery Debut

Horizon Robotics has announced the mass production rollout of its HSD urban driving assistance system, set to debut globally with Chery Automobile's EXEED in September 2025.

Horizon Robotics has announced the mass production rollout of its HSD (Horizon SuperDrive) urban driving assistance system, with a global debut scheduled for September 2025 in collaboration with Chery Automobile. This announcement was made during Horizon Robotics' 2025 Annual Product Launch Event in Shanghai, as stated in a press release.

The HSD system is designed to simulate human driving behavior, providing a safe and efficient driving experience. It is powered by Horizon's Journey 6 processing hardware and features an innovative end-to-end architecture. The system will be available in three versions, catering to a range of vehicle models from entry-level to premium.

Chery Automobile will be the first to integrate the HSD system into its EXEED brand, marking the system's global mass-production debut. Horizon Robotics has been a strategic partner of Chery since 2021, and this collaboration builds on the successful deployment of Horizon's technology in over 100,000 vehicles.

Beyond Chery, Horizon Robotics is also expanding its partnerships, including a recent collaboration with Volkswagen Group to develop advanced driving assistance systems. This partnership leverages research and development conducted by their joint venture, CARIZON, with Volkswagen models expected to enter production in 2026.
