HD Hyundai Chairman Chung Kisun presented a vision for sustainable shipbuilding through global collaboration and advanced technologies at the APEC 2025 Korea CEO Summit, announced in a press release. The event, held on October 27 at Munmu Hall, Gyeongju Expo Grand Park Cultural Center, opened with HD Hyundai’s Future Tech Forum: Shipbuilding, themed “Shaping the Future of Shipbuilding.”

Chung delivered the keynote address, highlighting the role of artificial intelligence, robotics, and digital transformation in improving productivity and sustainability in shipbuilding. He emphasized that AI advancements are significantly influencing ship design and manufacturing, calling for stronger cooperation across industries and nations.

The forum featured discussions among global industry leaders on next-generation defense technologies, smart shipbuilding, and Korea–U.S. collaboration. It served as a platform for corporations, governments, and academic institutions to assess industry trends and share strategies for the future of maritime innovation.
