Harness Acquires Qwiet AI to Enhance Application Security

October 07, 2025
Harness has acquired Qwiet AI to strengthen its application security offerings, focusing on AI-generated code vulnerabilities.

Harness has acquired Qwiet AI, a leader in AI-powered vulnerability detection, effective September 26, 2025. This acquisition, announced in a press release, aims to bolster Harness's application security business, which is projected to reach $50 million in annual recurring revenue this year.

The integration of Qwiet AI's advanced Code Property Graph (CPG) technology with Harness's Software Delivery Knowledge Graph will enhance vulnerability detection by providing deeper application awareness. This move is part of Harness's strategy to unify security and DevOps, ensuring that every build, test, and deployment is secure by default.

Qwiet AI's technology is designed to reduce alert noise and developer toil, boasting a 97% true positive rate and a 90% reduction in false positives. This allows developers to focus on real vulnerabilities, improving remediation speed by 95%. The acquisition also includes the addition of industry veteran Rahul Sood as General Manager to lead the application security business.

Harness's acquisition of Qwiet AI reflects the growing demand for integrated security solutions in AI-driven software development, addressing the challenges posed by AI-generated code vulnerabilities.
