Harness Acquires Codecov from Sentry to Expand Software Delivery Governance
In a press release, Harness announced the acquisition of Codecov from Sentry to strengthen governance across the software delivery process. The integration embeds Codecov's coverage intelligence into the Harness platform, allowing teams to assess test coverage and release risk before deploying code.
Harness stated that combining Codecov with its delivery pipeline enables coverage signals to inform release decisions in real time. This addition connects testing data with deployment history, security analysis, and incident telemetry within the Harness Software Delivery Knowledge Graph.
Codecov will continue operating under its existing brand, with Harness pledging ongoing investment and continued free access for open source projects. Both Harness and Sentry plan to maintain collaboration to ensure continuity for users and support further integration between their tools and developer communities.
