Green Hills Software Tools Now Support Infineon’s PSOC Edge Microcontrollers

October 28, 2025
Green Hills Software has released safety-certified development tools for Infineon’s new PSOC Edge microcontroller family, aimed at enabling high-performance, low-power edge AI applications in robotics, smart home devices, and industrial systems.

Green Hills Software has released safety-certified development tools for Infineon Technologies AG’s new PSOC Edge microcontroller family, announced in a press release. The integrated solution is designed to simplify the creation of secure, low-power applications for robotics, human-machine interfaces (HMI), and vision monitoring systems.

The development tools are based on Green Hills’ MULTI integrated development environment (IDE), which includes an advanced multicore debugger, system visualization through the History viewer, and the DoubleCheck static analysis tool. The suite also features safety-certified C/C++ compilers and runtime libraries optimized for the Arm Cortex-M55 with Helium vector extensions.

The PSOC Edge microcontroller family supports hardware-accelerated neural network computing and offers high performance with low power consumption. The Green Hills Probe provides high-speed JTAG and trace debugging, enabling faster board bring-up and software optimization.

Both companies stated that the collaboration aims to accelerate time-to-market for developers building safety- and security-critical edge AI and IoT solutions.
