GoVoBo.ai, a joint venture between Gallaudet University and AppTek, announced a new collaboration with Victory Deaf Academy to expand access to deaf-first AI technology for students across the Americas, announced in a press release.

The partnership integrates GoVoBo.ai’s AI-powered communication tools into Victory Deaf Academy’s programs, supporting deaf and hard of hearing learners in both in-person and virtual classrooms. The platform provides real-time captioning, multilingual transcription, multi-speaker tracking, and research-based emotion recognition, along with technology that can detect and integrate sign-language signals.

Founded by experts from Gallaudet’s Technology Access Program and AppTek, GoVoBo.ai aims to create accessible digital experiences for deaf users. Victory Deaf Academy, part of the Victory Schools network, will use these tools to enhance classroom participation and learning outcomes for deaf students in the United States and Mexico.

The companies stated that the platform can be deployed by other educational institutions to make online courses, meetings, and training programs accessible without requiring specialized hardware.
