Google Introduces Gemini 3.8 Flash and Flash Cyber

Google has introduced Gemini 3.8 Flash and Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, the company announced on its blog. Gemini 3.8 Flash is designed for software engineering, autonomous agents, and complex reasoning. It costs $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens, matching the introductory pricing of Gemini 3.7 Flash.

Google said Gemini 3.8 Flash scored 54.9% on HLE Verified and improved on Gemini 3.7 Flash across coding, finance, and legal agent benchmarks. The model may use more reasoning steps, tool calls, and tokens on complex tasks, while developers can select lower effort settings to reduce token use.

Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber focuses on vulnerability detection and automated patching. It recorded a 47.2% pass@1 result on CWE Bench and exceeded a 70% success rate on an internal vulnerability discovery benchmark covering 20 programming languages. Access is limited to trusted government authorities, critical infrastructure operators, and software maintainers through the Fairwind Program.

Gemini 3.8 Flash is available through the Gemini API, Google AI Studio, Android Studio, Google Antigravity, Gemini Enterprise, and the Gemini app. It is also available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers through AI Mode in Google Search and Gemini in Google Sheets.
