GAPVelocity AI Launches VELO for PowerBuilder on Microsoft Foundry
GAPVelocity AI has released VELO for PowerBuilder, a platform component that applies agentic AI to convert legacy PowerBuilder applications into modern Blazor and .NET code running on Azure, announced in a press release.
Built on Microsoft Foundry, VELO for PowerBuilder allows enterprises to modernize their software environments up to twenty times faster and at sixty percent lower cost than manual rewrites. The system uses AI agents to analyze the application architecture, separate business logic from the presentation layer, and generate up to date code that follows current framework standards.
The platform runs its models within Microsoft Foundry to provide scale, security, and governance. GAPVelocity AI noted that this approach helps organizations already using Microsoft technologies maintain modernization work in a consistent environment.
The company demonstrated VELO for PowerBuilder at the Code Smarter, Ship Faster event, showing how the agents analyze existing code, extract business logic, and produce a modernized Blazor version side by side with the original PowerBuilder application. VELO for PowerBuilder is available now as part of the VELO platform.
