Fluidstack to Build Europe's Largest AI Supercomputer for Mistral AI
Fluidstack has announced a strategic partnership with Eclairion to build Europe's largest AI supercomputer for Mistral AI, set to be operational by 2025. In a press release, the company detailed plans for the facility, which will be located in Bruyères-le-Châtel, France, and powered by decarbonized energy sources.
The project will leverage Fluidstack's expertise in large-scale AI clusters, Eclairion's advanced data center design, and Mistral AI's cutting-edge research capabilities. The supercomputer will be deployed in phases, with the first tranche expected to be operational by summer 2025. It is designed to scale beyond 18,000 GPUs, supporting the growing demands of AI model training and innovation.
The facility will run on 100% decarbonized electricity, sourced from nuclear and renewable energy, aligning with France's goals for sustainable AI infrastructure. This initiative is part of Fluidstack's broader vision to enhance AI capabilities in Europe, ensuring competitiveness on the global stage alongside the United States and China.
