ScaleFlux, ICC, and Croit have collaborated to introduce a turnkey Ceph appliance, enhancing storage performance and efficiency for AI and HPC workloads, announced in a press release.

ScaleFlux, ICC, and Croit have collaborated to launch a turnkey Ceph appliance that simplifies deployment and enhances performance, announced in a press release. This new solution aims to make enterprise-ready Ceph more accessible for AI and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads.

The collaboration introduces a Ceph storage appliance that integrates ScaleFlux's CSD5000 NVMe SSDs, which feature built-in data compression engines to expand effective storage capacity by up to four times. Croit's enhanced Ceph management platform supports automated configuration and monitoring, while ICC's RAIO platform offers a fully integrated and pre-configured Ceph storage appliance.

This initiative addresses the complexity and lack of native storage acceleration that have previously limited Ceph's adoption, particularly for next-generation AI and HPC infrastructure. The integrated solution is designed to remove operational complexity while boosting performance, making Ceph a more viable option for modern workloads.
