Flex Expands European Operations to Meet AI Data Center Power Demands
Flex's Critical Power Business, Anord Mardix, has announced a significant expansion of its European operations to enhance data center power offerings. In a press release, the company revealed the acquisition of a new manufacturing site in Bielsko-Biała, Poland, which doubles its power product capacity in Europe from 616,000 to 1,200,000 square feet. This expansion aims to meet the rising demand for AI-driven power solutions.
The new Polish site is part of Flex's strategy to invest in essential power and data center technologies. It follows the opening of a second facility in Dundalk, Ireland, which added 120,000 square feet to Anord Mardix's capacity there. The Dundalk facility, known as D2, assembles switchgear products to efficiently meet the global demand for reliable data center power, driven by AI growth.
Flex's new Bielsko-Biała site employs over 700 skilled workers and is fully operational, producing a wide range of grid-to-chip products, including Low Voltage/Medium Voltage (LV/MV) Switchgear, Power Pods, and Busway systems. This expansion is a direct response to customers' increasing requirements for next-generation power infrastructure that enables faster data center deployment at scale.
Flex continues to expand its manufacturing footprint, reaffirming its commitment to providing exceptional service and support in an era of accelerated technological advancement.
