Flex has introduced a new power shelf system for the NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 platform, enhancing power efficiency for AI data centers, announced in a press release. This system, unveiled at the OCP APAC event, is designed to support the transition to 800 VDC data center power infrastructure, enabling megawatt-scale racks.

The Flex power shelf system delivers up to 33 kW per shelf with a peak efficiency of 97.5 percent at half-load, significantly reducing power conversion losses. It features a 3+3 redundant configuration and an advanced power shelf controller, making it compatible with the NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 platform, which includes 72 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs.

This development is part of Flex's strategy to accelerate data center deployment worldwide, providing a robust foundation for future 800 VDC power infrastructure. The company plans to align the production of 800 VDC power components with the release of NVIDIA Kyber rack-scale systems, ensuring seamless scalability for demanding AI models.
