Equinix announced in a press release Equinix Fabric One, a managed connectivity service for enterprise cloud, AI, and networking infrastructure, with AWS and Google Cloud serving as lead integration partners. The announcement was made at Equinix Horizon, the company’s first customer and partner event.

Equinix Fabric One is designed to connect distributed cloud, AI, and enterprise environments through open connectivity specifications developed by AWS and Google Cloud. Customers will specify what they need connected and their requirements, while the service determines and delivers the required connectivity.

The service will support requests through a portal, APIs, automation workflows, agent based requests, and natural language prompts. Equinix Fabric One will manage routing, cloud connectivity, encryption, resiliency, and failover as a single managed service.

Equinix Fabric One is expected to enter beta later this year. General availability is planned for 2027, starting in North America.
