ElevenLabs Launches Audiobook Publishing Platform
ElevenLabs has introduced a new platform that enables authors to create and publish AI-generated audiobooks directly on its Reader app, announced on their website. This development comes shortly after the company's collaboration with Spotify to expand AI-narrated audiobooks.
The platform, known as ElevenReader Publishing, offers authors a cost-effective solution to produce professional-grade audiobooks. Authors can import their books in various formats, preview the audio, and publish it for distribution on the ElevenReader app. The service is currently available for English titles, with plans to support 32 additional languages.
ElevenLabs provides authors with a payout model, offering $1.10 for every listener who engages with an audiobook for more than 11 minutes. Initially, this payout is available to U.S. authors, with plans to expand globally. The company also aims to create a marketplace for authors to sell their content.
This initiative is part of ElevenLabs' broader strategy to enhance consumer experiences by offering affordable and accessible audiobook creation tools. The company has previously powered audio platforms like Pocket FM and Kuku FM, transforming text into audio content.
