Dyna Robotics Secures $120 Million to Enhance Robotic Foundation Models

Dyna Robotics has secured $120 million in a Series A funding round, announced in a press release. The round was led by Robostrategy, CRV, and First Round Capital, with participation from Salesforce Ventures, NVentures, the Amazon Industrial Innovation Fund, Samsung Next, and LG Technology Ventures.

The funding will be used to expand Dyna's research and engineering team and accelerate the development of its next-generation foundation model. This model aims to deliver high-performance, general-purpose robots for commercial environments. Dyna's DYNA-1 model, launched earlier this year, has already demonstrated a 99+% success rate in 24-hour non-stop operations across various industries, including hospitality and fitness.

Dyna Robotics is pioneering a single-weight, general-purpose foundation model capable of performing diverse tasks at a commercial scale. The company's robots are designed to generalize and self-improve across different environments, enhancing their commercial viability. Co-founders Lindon Gao and York Yang, along with former DeepMind research scientist Jason Ma, are leveraging their expertise to push the boundaries of embodied AI, with the ultimate goal of achieving physical artificial general intelligence.
