Vatn Systems and NCSIST Explore Undersea Autonomy for Taiwan Defense

Vatn Systems and Taiwan's NCSIST signed an agreement to explore autonomous underwater vehicles, AI enabled command and control, systems integration, and local sustainment for Taiwan's naval defense work.

Vatn Systems and Taiwan's NCSIST said in a press release that they signed an agreement to explore joint naval defense projects for Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense.

The memorandum of understanding covers AI enabled command and control systems, autonomous underwater vehicles including Vatn's S12 AUV, systems integration, and supply chain and sustainment support based in Taiwan.

NCSIST is responsible for weapons systems and dual use technology for Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense. Vatn Systems builds autonomous underwater vehicles for military, allied, and commercial customers.
