Feagine Robotics Introduces Fi0 Model for Soft Robotic Bodies

Feagine Robotics announced Fi0, a foundation model designed to keep robot task knowledge intact when a robot body changes. It was released with three FEAGINE A series biomimetic manipulators.

Feagine Robotics announced in a press release Fi0, a foundation model designed to keep a robot's task knowledge intact when its body changes. The company released the model with three biomimetic manipulators in the FEAGINE A series: A01, A02, and A03.

Fi0 stands for Foundation Intelligence Across Embodiments. Feagine said the model is intended to work across robot bodies with different lengths, segment counts, and degrees of freedom.

The A01, A02, and A03 manipulators are driven by tendons and increase in segment count, reach, and payload. Feagine describes them as controlled variations for testing how a robot model handles changes in body structure, motion path, reachable workspace, and contact behavior.
