Digital Edge and B.Grimm Power to Launch AI Data Centers in Thailand
Digital Edge and B.Grimm Power have announced a strategic joint venture to develop hyperscale and AI-ready data center campuses across Thailand, starting with a 100 MW flagship project in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) announced in a press release. The partnership, operating under the brand name 'Digital Edge DC', plans to invest approximately $1 billion in this initiative.
The flagship project in Chonburi province has received approval from the Thailand Board of Investment and is set to become a critical hub for AI and cloud service providers in Southeast Asia. The data center will offer high-density colocation, interconnectivity, and hybrid cloud solutions tailored for hyperscalers and AI workloads, with a target readiness for service (RFS) in Q4 2026.
Digital Edge, backed by Stonepeak, is known for its energy-efficient data centers across Asia Pacific, while B.Grimm Power is a leading energy producer in Thailand with a focus on sustainable energy solutions. This collaboration aims to support Thailand's digital transformation and its ambition to become a regional digital hub.
