DeepL has appointed Martino Cadoni as its new Chief Financial Officer. Cadoni joins the company from Klarna, where he led major financial initiatives including a $500 million divestment and an $800 million pre-IPO fundraising round.

DeepL has named Martino Cadoni as its new Chief Financial Officer, announced in a press release. Cadoni brings over 15 years of international experience in financial and technology leadership roles.

Before joining DeepL, Cadoni worked at Klarna, where he served as Head of Strategic Finance and Investor Relations. He led the divestment of Klarna Checkout valued at over $500 million and played a key role in an $800 million fundraising round ahead of the company’s planned IPO. His earlier career includes positions at HSBC and GE, as well as founding MC4 Ventures.

Cadoni succeeds Markus Harder, who departed earlier this year after establishing DeepL’s financial operations. DeepL CEO Jarek Kutylowski stated that Cadoni’s experience will support the company’s next phase of international growth, following a year that included the launches of DeepL Agent, Customization Hub, and DeepL Marketplace.
