DeepIP, a startup based in Paris and New York, has raised $15 million in Series A funding to advance its AI platform for patent drafting.

DeepIP, a startup focused on improving patent drafting through AI technology, has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Resonance, with participation from Headline, Serena Capital, and Balderton Capital.

DeepIP's AI assistant is designed to assist patent attorneys by summarizing large documents, simplifying complex jargon, and suggesting alternative ways to structure patent claims. The platform aims to reduce the time spent on drafting patent applications by up to 50%, having already assisted in drafting 8,500 applications.

The company plans to use the new funding to expand its operations in the U.S. and Europe, enhance its AI capabilities, and continue developing its product teams. DeepIP's approach combines third-party and proprietary models to minimize AI hallucinations, ensuring high-quality patent drafts.
