Casepoint Launches MCP Server for Legal and Government AI Workflows

Casepoint launched an MCP Server that lets agencies and enterprises connect approved AI models and agents to its platform for eDiscovery, legal hold, FOIA, investigations, and compliance workflows.

Casepoint has launched a Model Context Protocol server that connects approved AI models, agents, and AI ecosystems to its platform, the company said in a press release. The server is built on the open MCP standard and supports workflows across eDiscovery, legal hold, investigations, FOIA, regulatory work, and compliance.

The initial release covers Casepoint eDiscovery, Legal Hold, and FOIA applications. Customers can use AI agents to retrieve review batch status, reviewer productivity metrics, custodian reports, legal hold statuses, FOIA request status, FOIA Annual Report data, and other operational information.

Casepoint said each MCP request uses the authenticated user's existing permissions. The company said this means AI agents can only access information and actions already available to that user within the platform.

The server is designed for government agencies and regulated enterprises. Casepoint said future releases will expand the MCP Server function library with more capabilities across legal, regulatory, investigative, and compliance workflows.
