Datacor Publishes Research on AI Value in Process Industries
Datacor has released a new research series examining how artificial intelligence is delivering value across process industries, announced in a press release. The reports, produced by independent research firm Tech-Clarity, surveyed more than 270 companies in chemical manufacturing, food and animal nutrition, and engineering sectors.
The research found that companies completing AI pilots are seeing measurable results quickly. In the chemical industry, 60 percent of firms that finished at least one proof of concept reported value within a single business quarter. In food and animal nutrition, 45 percent achieved similar outcomes.
The study also noted that early adopters are extending their lead, with nearly two thirds of companies that made meaningful AI progress scaling those gains to new areas of their business. Many organizations reported that working with existing software providers for AI support helped them advance more efficiently.
Datacor stated that the findings aim to help process industry companies focus on practical challenges such as data quality, data science skills, and identifying where to begin with AI adoption.
